The berried female of Alpheus lobidens De Haan, 1850 was collected from Buleji (Karachi, Pakistan) and kept in the laboratory. The larvae hatched after 2 days and existed within 7 days at room temperature 23oC - 28oC in filtered seawater with a salinity of 37 - 40 parts per thousand and a pH of 7.5 - 7.8. Artemia nauplii were used to feed the larvae.
